As a cultural organizer and land-worker, much of my practice is relational. I am deeply nourished by working to getting in right relationship to healing justice through providing space for me and the people I move with to deepen into intimate and meaningful relationships to plants, food, and nature in NYC. Right now, I aim to dialogue around this question through working in a learning garden on the green roof on top of a waste treatment facility, looking for new ways to reconsider regenerative futures in urban landscapes.

And while this work is motivating, and keeps me aligned to purpose, it can also be hard and exhausting. It does wonders to my spirit to surround myself in more remote and rural spaces. I, and my work in the world, are better for it. It is through artist residencies and my own self-guided retreats that I am able to take pause and focus on this internal creative process. Highlighted are a few glimpses into what this looks like for me. It is my hope that these places and practices are not just replenishing for me, but that they can be replicated and practiced by others.
